He is a lifelong steward who wants people to experience the creator's Garden of Eden with all living creatures, including important keystone species: bison, wolves, beaver --- even dung beetles, that evolved over tens of thousands of years on the grassland prairies. And yes, forests too.

Thanksgiving is a ripe time to consider how the food we consume impacts ecosystem and planetary health. As a holiday, Thanksgiving originates from the Native American philosophy of giving without expecting anything in return.

It's important to know that for many Native Americans, Thanksgiving is a day of mourning and protest since it commemorates the arrival of settlers in North America and the centuries of oppression and genocide that followed.

This day also gives us the opportunity to reflect on our collective history and to embrace the beauty, strength, and resilience of the Native tribes of North America.

Please learn more on the American Indian perspective on Thanksgiving. Maybe even try a recipe from a Native chef this holiday season.

What an incredible honor to co-chair the #wethepeo

What an incredible honor to co-chair the #wethepeoples Global Leadership Awards Dinner with @hansvestberg Hans Vestberg last night – highlight the importance of the @unitednations United Nations and celebrate this year’s inspiring awardees who represent “the best of the human spirit.”

On behalf of my family, including my father #tedturner Ted Turner – we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the people and organizations that best embody the spirit of the United Nations and who are driving global progress. We also celebrate the board and staff of the @unfoundation United Nations Foundation who work tirelessly to carry out Founder and Chairman “Call Me Ted’s” vision.

Dad celebrated his 86th birthday this week and a special event was held for him to premiere a new documentary series entitled “Call Me Ted” airing on @streamonmax MAX. It reminded me, and others who watched, how hard he and the United Nations worked to solve the existential threats that face humankind and how he supported the countries of the world to work together to achieve peace.

My father has also been an avid supporter and proponent of the Sustainable Development Goals…and refers to the 17 goals as the business plan the world needs desperately to develop sustainably and equitably.

We have a lot of work to do ---
1. Help get the #sdg SDG’s back on track
2. Fix our climate
3. Halt the extinction crisis
4. Regenerate the world's soils
5. Restore our freshwater systems
6. Save our life-giving forests and oceans
7. Protect everyone on this planet, especially the vulnerable.

Last Friday, we celebrated @crkeeper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper's 30th birthday! To all the leadership and staff, thank you!!!

Rutherford and I co-founded this indispensable watch-dog organization that helps restore and protect our lifeblood -- the precious waters of our beloved community and many communities between Atlanta and Apalachicola Bay, Florida.

A sampling of some of CRK's extraordinary efforts this last year:

- Nearly 2,500 clean-up volunteers collected over 60 tons of trash and recyclables
- Over 5,500 neighborhood water watch samples were collected and tested
- Nearly 3,000 pounds of disposables and recyclables were collected by trash traps
- Over 6,000 students and teachers went aboard floating classrooms for enrichment
- 107 industrial sites investigated for compliance with stormwater rules
- CRK is monitoring surface water near industrial areas and municipal wastewater discharges to understand #pfas hotspots in the Chattahoochee watershed. In 2022, CRK participated in a nationwide PFAS study with @waterkeeperalliance Waterkeeper Alliance

30 years of success!!!:
- WATER MONITORING
- 228 Neighborhood Water Watch (NWW) sites tested weekly
- 46,000+ samples collected and tested
TRASH-FREE CHATAHOOCHEE
- 3,000,000+ pounds of trash and recyclables removed by volunteers
- 14 in-stream trash traps throughout the watershed
- 20,000+ cleanup volunteers
EDUCATION
- 100,000+ students and teachers on board the floating classroom
- 500+ participants in Water Warriors educational, paddle, and fly-fishing events
ADVOCACY
- 1,600+ industrial site investigations in Georgia and Alabama

This picture radiates the perfect memory to honor and celebrate a remarkable individual - President Jimmy Carter on the occasion of his 100th birthday, October 1st

In 2002, he received the Nobel Peace Prize. Carter and my Dad, #tedturner have a special bond of friendship rooted in so many of the same beliefs for making the world better through environmental stewardship and humanitarian efforts. In 2013 - my Dad presented the Exemplar Award to his pal, Carter, during the @captainplanetfdn annual fundraiser to honor him as an environmental superhero.

During his time in office Carter initiated and launched a comprehensive energy program by a new Department of Energy and major environmental protections legislation and even put solar panels on the White House. He also secured the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act. Post presidency - Carter and former First Lady, Rosalyn Carter - created @thecartercenter Carter Center in partnership with Emory University "waging peace, fighting disease and providing hope to prevent and resolve conflicts, enhance freedom and democracy, and improve health."

The Carter Center's work to eradicate Guinea worm disease and river blindness is truly awe-inspiring. In 1986, an international campaign was launched to eradicate Guinea worm. An estimated 3.5 million cases in 21 countries in Africa and Asia made it a Herculean task. Today, that number has been reduced by more than 99.99 percent! The Carter Center also works to eliminate river blindness, not just control it, in Africa and Latin America.
