This year’s Captain Planet Foundation Gala was an amazing success! I am so excited to announce that we raised over a million dollars! Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who attended, as well as donated.
This year we had some really amazing guests and award recipients. Jimmy Carter, Richard Branson, Ted Turner and EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson all participated on a panel, discussing a wide array of environmental topics. (more…)

This past Saturday night, I attended the 22nd Annual Environmental Media Awards! The episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta we did with Captain Planet was one of three nominations for the Reality Television category. Unfortunately, we didn’t win, but National Geographic’s amazing reality show Superfish: Bluefin Tuna took home the award.

Recently, one of my heroes, Andrew Young, celebrated his 80th birthday. I was fortunate enough to be in attendance at his birthday celebration, and it was truly a night to remember. The night was a once in a lifetime chance to be surrounded by so many people that I respect and admire. (more…)
