Did you know that on average we’re exposed to 216 chemicals through personal care products every day? But what about our cleaning products, if your personal care products contain so many hazardous chemicals, what does this mean for your household cleaners?
Do you know what’s in your surface cleaner, your laundry detergent? Unfortunately, finding out what is in your cleaning products can be pretty tough for most consumers. The Environmental Working Group has taken up the challenge and has launched their Guide to Healthy Cleaning! You can search safety ratings for over 2,000 products in their Healthy Cleaning database. For a 5 dollar donation, EWG will send you their wallet-sized guide to use while shopping!

EWG is an amazing organization that works hard to arm consumers with information that can help them make healthy decisions and avoid toxins. Knowledge is power!
