This past Saturday night, I attended the 22nd Annual Environmental Media Awards! The episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta we did with Captain Planet was one of three nominations for the Reality Television category. Unfortunately, we didn’t win, but National Geographic’s amazing reality show Superfish: Bluefin Tuna took home the award.
It was a great chance to catch up with some environmentalist friends. It was great seeing my friends Laurie David and Philippe Costeau Jr. again! I also had the opportunity to speak with Alan Horn, chairman of Walt Disney Studios and former president of Warner Brothers. He was there with his beautiful daughter, Cody Horn, actress and Planeteer, who has just finished filming her most recent movie! I had a really interesting conversation with Jeff Skoll, the first president of eBay and founder of Participant Media, the production company behind movies like The Cove and Food, Inc. I also spent a long time talking to fellow Atlantan and Planeteer, Ian Somerhalder.
It was a great night and I returned home full of fresh inspiration! You can watch the entire awards ceremony on Eonline.com!
