I recently recapped some of the larger challenges and accomplishments from Rio +20 here, but today I wanted to share some pictures and a video from my trip. My last day in Rio was truly amazing.
I had the opportunity to spend time with Severn Suzuki in an important advisory session with the French Ambassador for the environment.
He is such a brilliant, engaged and hardworking man. We learned so much about what needs to happen. There is a window of two years left to work to include the voice of civil society in the negotiations, and redirect the global outcome on environmental issues, according to the Ambassador.
I also met and had a conversation with Rajendra Pachauri, the great Nobel Laureate climate scientist, under the arms of Jesus. It was one of the highlights of my life.
Followed by a great meeting before I got to my plane with Bill McKibben! It was a day where stars aligned for sure. I was able to connect some important dots.
Here is a video from the conference where I spoke about Captain Planet and the future.
Thank you to Christina Stevens for the wonderful photos!
