Activists Get Amazon to Stop Selling Whale Meat

Amazon was selling whale bacon, whale stew, whale jerky, and canned whale meat right up until the Environmental Investigation Agency called to boycott. Since then, all whale products have been removed from Amazon.

New York State May Ban the Sale of Shark Fins
Scientists from Oceana estimate that New York could be the largest consumer of shark fins on the East Coast. Shark fins are considered a delicacy in traditional Chinese cuisine, but scientists estimate that up to 73 million sharks are killed annually to make shark fin soup. The industry has led some species to the brink of extinction, not to mention eliminating a key ecosystem predator in our oceans. The proposed bill would would ban the sale, trading, possession and distribution of shark fins.
