What do you get when you bring together a group of inspiring, visionary leaders, including Jane Fonda, Dr. Mehmet Oz and Gloria Steinem? The second annual TEDxWomen conference!
I am so happy and honored to be taking part in today’s conference – a one-day, bicoastal event featuring leaders from numerous countries and backgrounds. This conference will continue the conversation that began last December about the women and girls who are changing the world in powerful ways. Whether women are leading conversations about climate change, global health, media or relationships, we certainly have a vision for our planet.
Last year’s inaugural event brought together 10,000 women (and men) on every continent and in every time zone through more than 100 self-organized, local events that connected to the main stage sessions.
Produced by The Paley Center for Media and hosted by Pat Mitchell, TEDxWomen’s speakers will engage in this conversation from both Los Angeles and New York City.
I am speaking during the Relationships session, hosted by Trevor Neilson, cofounder and partner of Global Philanthropy Group.
Joining me during this session are:
- Tan Le: technology entrepreneur and business executive
- Jennifer Siebel Newsom: a filmmaker, actress, spokesperson and advocate
- Matt Petersen, president: CEO and board member of Global Green USA
- Noel Bairey Merz: director of the Cedars-Sinai Women’s Heart Center
- Marilyn and Alan Bergman: lyricists for film, stage and television
You can stay up to date on the event on Twitter: simply follow the hashtag TEDxWomen. I hope you’ll check it out – it is sure to be an inspiring and motivating day.
